Star Trek: Legacy for 360, PC - Delayed 2 Weeks

Gaming fans of Star Trek have no doubt been waiting for Star Trek: Legacy, the next-gen game from Bethesda Softworks (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion). In the space combat sim, players will commandeer a vessel through several eras of Trek, from the Star Trek prequel Enterprise to Star Trek: Voyager. The game will also feature the voice-acting skills of several of the series' legendary captains, including William Shatner as James T. Kirk and Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard.

Unfortunately for fans, it appears as though the game has hit a small bump in its time-space continuum. Online retailers have the game listed as releasing on November 21, two weeks later than Bethesda's previous November 7 shipping date. GameSpot contacted Bethesda Softworks and received an "affirmative" on the game's new ship date.

As for the reason for the delay, Bethesda's Star Trek message board might have the answer. A forum moderator who goes by the handle "RMoore" claims to have contacted Bethesda, who cited quality assurance as reasons for the delay.

Star Trek: Legacy has not yet been rated and will retail for $59.99 on the Xbox 360 and $39.99 on the PC. For more info, head over to GameSpot's previous coverage.
