Steam Summer Sale 2020 will begin on June 25 according to leak

Just like every year, Valve will be hosting a Steam Summer Sale in June, and while dates are kept under wraps until it kicks off, as usual, a leak may have revealed them early. The latest leak arrives from SteamDB developer Pavel Djundik, and according to Chinese sources and what seems to be another party, Steam Summer Sale 2020 will kick off on June 25 and run until July 9.

Interestingly, they are the same time frames Valve used for the Steam Summer Sale in 2019. In that promotion, alongside the massive store-wide sale, Valve also put forth a Grand Prix mini-game that had to be revised mid-way through the promotion due to complaints. It's likely some sort of mini-game or event will accompany this year's summer sale too.

Moreover, Djundik also found traces of a loyalty awards/rewards program Valve may be working on behind the scenes. According to Djundik's findings, it will let users redeem some sort of points for badge levels, reward items, and maybe even game discounts. User review reactions seems to be incoming too, with "heartwarming", "hot take", "poetry", "hilarious" and more being implemented to expand on the current system, which only has a "funny" reaction in addition to thumb up and thumbs down ratings.

Leaks from SteamDB regarding Valve plans have been consistently correct for years now, but still, keep in mind that nothing is confirmed until Valve opens the doors to its Steam Summer Sale or implements any new features.
