SteelSeries Rival 600 packs dual optical sensors for superior tracking

It was only last year that SteelSeries debuted its TrueMove3 technology in its Rival 310 and Sensei 310 gaming mice. To start the year off with a bang, it has now launched its latest mouse, with TrueMove3+ technology, the Rival 600.

What makes the mouse interesting is that it incorporates a dual sensor system to give users better accuracy. While it uses the TrueMove3 sensor for primary 1-to-1 tracking, it also has a second optical sensor that is used to track lift-off distance. In addition to the extra sensor, the mouse will also have the ability to be customized with various weights. The firm touts that the mouse will feel better than its competitors' thanks to the weights being placed on the sides of the device, as opposed to being loaded from the top.

If you're into illumination effects, you'll be happy to know that like other SteelSeries components, you will be able to customize the lighting effects using the SteelSeries Engine Software. If interested, the Rival 600 is now available for purchase from the manufacturer's website and Amazon for $79.99.
