Street Fighter II 30th Anniversary Edition SNES cartridge gets unboxed

It was during the summer that iam8bit released a limited edition Street Fighter II Super Nintendo cartridge. The game was limited to just 5,500 total copies and wasn't just a piece of decoration, but could actually be used on any SNES console. While this is a nice little collectors item, the cost to own one was set at $100. If you weren't that big of a fan and still want to get in on the unboxing process, you can now get a great look through a newly released video.

As you can see, the game comes packaged in a beautiful box with nice touches like foil and embossments. Along with the physical cartridge, it also comes with an instruction booklet and mini poster. While the video shows off the opaque "Ryu Headband Red" variant, the firm also offered a translucent glow-in-the-dark version dubbed "Blanka Green", which can be seen at the end of the video. There were 4,500 versions of the Red variant and only 1,000 of the Green version produced, with the cartridges being distributed randomly to purchasers.

While you might not be able to purchase the cartridge above anymore, you can always get yourself a SNES Classic Edition, which has a version of Street Fighter II available.
