Students can now save up to $300 on a Surface Pro 3 at the Microsoft Store till September 26th

Microsoft has been busy cutting prices of its hybrid device in preparation for a new model expected to be announced next month. Usually, Microsoft offers a 10% discount to students on any regularly priced item, meaning students have had to choose between the discount and any sale going on at the time.

The new discount, exclusive to students, is the largest yet offering with up to an additional $150 off the already discounted price. This means that buyers looking to purchase a Surface Pro 3 can save (up to) a whopping $300 over the regular price. Consumers interested in the Core i5 - 128 GB model can save an extra $100 (for a total discount of $250) till September 12th. This is the cheapest we've seen the 128GB model, being discounted by $200 late last month. You can see all the models with their regular verse discounted price below:

Model Regular Price Discounted Price
64GB - i3 - 4GB RAM $799.00 $719.10 ($79.90 off)
128GB - i5 - 4GB RAM $999.00 $749.00 ($250 off)
256GB- i5 - 8GB RAM $1,299.00 $999.00 ($300 off)
256GB - i7 - 8GB RAM $1,549.00 $1,249.00 ($300 off)
512GB - i7 - 8GB RAM $1,949.00 $1,649.00 ($300 off)

Microsoft is still throwing in free sleeves with your new device until October 10th. The extra $150 discount will be available till September 26th. Unfortunately, it looks like this deal is only for students, faculty, and staff living in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada, though people living in the UK do have an option to get £150 cashback.

In order to see the additional education discount, you must login to the education portal of Microsoft Store website which you can find here.
