Surface Pro 4 i5 with 256GB SSD available in UK with Type Cover and Office 365 for £999.99

Amazon is currently offering big discounts on Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 tablet in the UK, including a particularly impressive deal on one specific model. Many of the tablets are now available with more than 10% off, but the best deal appears to be on the Intel Core i5 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

For today only, Amazon is selling the device for just £899.99, £180 less than the retailer's usual price of £1,079. However, a further option is available by selecting the "i5/256 GB/8 GB/Wi-Fi + Microsoft Office" option on the Amazon listing, shown in the image below:

That option is priced at £999.99, and includes not just the tablet and Surface Pen, but also comes with a one-year Office 365 Home subscription worth £79.99, and a Type Cover keyboard in the colour of your choice, worth £124.99 at full price. The total value, including that of the tablet, adds up to almost £1,300, although in reality you would generally be able to get those items for a bit less than their full, recommended retail price at Amazon. Even so, that's still quite a significant discount.

Compare that with the Microsoft Store, which is currently selling that model for £1,099 with two years of free Complete insurance, and a year of Office 365 Home. An additional discount on that model - reducing its price to £989.10, and which was supposed to be available until today - has already ended. If you wanted to add a Type Cover to that purchase today, you'd be paying £1,223.99 at the Microsoft Store.

The Amazon offer on that specific model is only available until the end of today, March 21, so if you're thinking about going for it, don't wait too long. Don't forget that it doesn't include the free two-year Complete care package that you'll get at the Microsoft Store.
