T-Mobile finally updates its LG V20 to Android Oreo

T-Mobile LG V20 owners rejoice! The wireless carrier is now seeding the Android Oreo update for the handset. T-Mobile is the last major carrier in the United States to offer the update for the device.

If you are still using the phone be sure to head into the settings section to manually refresh for an update. If you don't see it immediately, be warned, as it looks like it is going out in waves. The carrier has detailed that in order to prevent network congestion, it has set a daily limit when it comes to downloads. Once that limit is reached, it will no longer offer the update until the next day. This will be a daily occurrence until October 30, when the download restriction will be lifted.

"If your device meets the update requirements, this update will be available to you to download. To prevent network congestion, updates are briefly set on a scheduled daily limit. If that limit is reached, check back again the next day or after October 30, when the daily limit is lifted."

Although the update will be much appreciated by V20 owners, it is still only a silver lining considering that the update is coming a year later and Google's Android 9.0 Pie has already been announced and released.
