T-Mobile's DIGITS goes live starting on May 31

Next Wednesday, on May 31st, all T-Mobile phone numbers will be upgraded to become what T-Mobile terms, DIGITS, following a beta test which involved thousands of people. Customers will be able to use their DIGITS on any connected device – phone, tablet, smartwatch, computer and more, meaning you won’t have to have multiple numbers across devices.

Those who want to, will be able to get an additional DIGITS line for an extra $10 per month with AutoPay.

Commenting on the news, John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile, said:

“Phone numbers are so yesterday – DIGITS are now. Starting next week, T-Mobile doesn’t have phone numbers anymore – we have DIGITS. They’re your REAL T-Mobile phone number but with none of the old limits. DIGITS is another industry-shaking Un-carrier innovation aimed at changing wireless for good.”

To celebrate, T-Mobile, for a limited time, will give away another DIGITS line for free to anyone that purchases T-Mobile ONE Plus.

Plus is T-Mobile’s most popular add-on and includes:

" Unlimited HD video streaming (US only), unlimited mobile hotspot with up to 10GB of high-speed data, unlimited Gogo Wi-Fi on your smartphone for the full flight and more for just $5 per month".

T-Mobile says DIGITS will be available in stores nationwide and is therefore likely that it’ll be restricted to the US for the time being, but it's entirely something similar could launch in other countries in the future.
