Driver's licenses and state ID's will be available in Samsung Wallet soon in a few US states. Samsung is working with IDEMIA to deliver the feature. The Korean firm will bring it to other states soon.

Apple Wallet has added support for driver's licenses and state IDs in Arizona. It's the first state to get support for this feature but the company has announced many more will get it soon.
Apple has quietly updated its iOS 15 website to indicate that the ability to add state-issued ID and driver's license to Apple Wallet has been delayed to "early 2022", without any public reasoning.
