EE has announced a simpler price increase model that will come into force next year. It said that customers would be told of price increases in pounds and pence, and they wouldn't be inflation-linked.

UK broadband and mobile customers are going to be hit with price hikes this spring as operators attempt to keep up with their costs. Those who can are urged to look for cheaper deals elsewhere.

Vodafone has said that it will not be zero-rating BBC's education website Bitesize. It said technical hurdles meant it couldn't zero-rate the site and it wants to uphold net neutrality.

BT has said that its customers, including those with EE and Plusnet, will have zero-rated access to BBC Bitesize by the end of the month. This will help parents home school while schools are shut.

Ofcom has revealed which broadband and mobile companies customers prefer the most. It said Tesco Mobile score best in the mobile category and Plusnet did the best in the broadband category.

The UK's digital regulator, Ofcom, has persuaded several more broadband providers to offer cheaper out-of-contract rates for vulnerable customers. Despite this, Ofcom said things can be better still.
