The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics release date announced

At the annual E3 convention which took place earlier this year, video game publisher En Masse Entertainment and developer BonusXP announced The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics - a turn-based strategy RPG title based on the Netflix Original series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Up until now, the only information available about The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics's release date was an obscure window of '2019'. That changed today thanks to a PlayStation blog post authored by David Whitfield, product Manager at En Masse Entertainment, who revealed that the game is set to come out as a digital release on the PlayStation Store on February 4, 2020.

Aside from announcing the new launch date for the game, revealing in-depth information about the universe the game is set in, and disclosing detailed information about the gameplay and turn-based strategic combat system, a new trailer for the game was also posted.

Since the game was first introduced, the game's makers have revealed a wealth of information about the upcoming game, including videos offering a glance at the gameplay, storyline and internal mechanics of the title, all of which can be found on its official website.

The official blurb for the upcoming turn-based RPG reads:

In The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, you will lead a fledgling resistance of Gelfling against their oppressive overlords, the Skeksis, across more than 50 unique turn-based tactics RPG battles. Along the way, you will recruit and customize new allies by assigning them jobs, modifying their abilities, and outfitting them with equipment to ensure victory. With 15 playable characters, including familiar faces from the classic film and the new Netflix Original series, build your own teams and devise winning strategies to overthrow the rule of the Skeksis and restore light to the Gelfling homeworld of Thra!

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, the brainchild of game makers En Masse Entertainment and BonusXP, is scheduled to arrive on multiple gaming platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Windows and macOS) via Steam.
