The Evil Within 2 makes its debut in haunting trailer

Yesterday, a premature ad listing on Reddit indicated that Bethesda Softworks is working on a sequel to The Evil Within. Today, at its E3 showcase, the company has confirmed the existence of the title, and announced The Evil Within 2.

As can be seen from the haunting and surreal trailer, players will once again be taking command of Detective Sebastian - the protagonist from the first game - as he tries to save his daughter, while facing horrifying creatures in scary environments.

A brief description for The Evil Within 2 can be viewed below:

You are Detective Sebastian Castellanos and at your lowest point. But when given a chance to save your daughter, you must enter a world filled with nightmares and discover the dark origins of a once-idyllic town to bring her back. Horrifying threats emerge from every corner as the world twists and warps around you. Will you face adversity head on with weapons and traps, or sneak through the shadows to survive? The Evil Within 2 will be making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Friday the 13th, October 2017.
