The first Nintendo Direct presentation of 2019 is tomorrow

Nintendo has taken a little longer than usual to host the first Nintendo Direct of the year in 2019, but that time is finally here. The firm announced on Twitter that a new presentation will be taking place tomorrow at 2PM PT/5PM ET/10PM GMT. As usual, you'll be able to catch up through Nintendo's official website.

According to the announcement, the Direct will be 35 minutes long, so it will be one of the standard format ones, and not a mini version. It will also be the first of its kind, aside from E3 presentations, to focus exclusively on Nintendo Switch titles, signaling the company's move from the aging 3DS hardware.

The announcement specifically mentions Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which was announced at E3 last year. The title is slated for a release this spring and not much more has been revealed since the summer of 2018, so now is likely a good time to shine some light on it.

There are, however, many more titles planned for release this year, such as Luigi's Mansion 3, an untitled Animal Crossing entry, Daemon X Machina, Yoshi's Crafted World, among others. It's very possible there will be some surprises in there too, with some rumors suggesting that Nintendo may unveil a Metroid Prime trilogy collection for the hybrid console, in light of the delay of Metroid Prime 4. Whether or not turns out to be the case, we'll have to wait a little longer to find out.

If indie games are more your style, there was already an Indie Highlights presentation this year, which marked the launch of titles such as Goat Simulator: The GOATY, When Ski Lifts Go Wrong, and Unruly Heroes. A number of forthcoming titles were also announced.
