The HTC 10 won't be coming to AT&T, but there's a silver lining

Earlier today, HTC announced the 10, the firm's latest flagship offering. Unfortunately, many will be disappointed to hear that the device will not be available from AT&T.

The good news is that there will be an unlocked model, which will work with AT&T. Here's exactly what they said:

In the U.S., HTC 10 will be available across multiple wireless providers including Verizon Wireless, Sprint and T–Mobile, which will announce colors, availability and pricing. In addition, HTC will be offering an Unlocked edition on www.HTC.com, which will be compatible with AT&T and T–Mobile networks and will be available for pre–orders beginning today, April 12, with shipping in early May. The Unlocked edition from HTC.com comes in Glacier Silver and Carbon Gray, and cost $699. It also comes with UH OH Protection, which includes one replacement at no charge within the first 12 months of ownership for a cracked screen or water damage

This is good news for those that are willing to shell out $699 at once for a phone, but if you're looking for the installment plan that comes with AT&T Next, you're going to have to look elsewhere.

AT&T has been a long time partner with HTC, so the fact that the carrier won't be selling HTC's latest flagship is certainly curious. Nevertheless, at least AT&T customers will have options with the HTC 10.
