The iPhone 12 isn't more expensive on T-Mobile after all

Apple unveiled the iPhone 12 family of smartphones earlier this week, comprised of the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max. During its virtual event, Apple said the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 would start at $699 and $799, respectively, but shortly afterward, it stated that those prices only applied to the Verizon and AT&T versions of the phones.

This would leave T-Mobile customers in the cold, but it turns out you won't have to pay extra. The listings on Apple's website have been updated and the prices are now the same for all carrier variants of the phone. However, the unlocked versions still cost $30 more. T-Mobile also hasn't updated the iPhone 12 listing on its own website, so you'll still be paying $829.99 if you order through there.

The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max were always set to have the same price across the board, so if you're in the market for those, you can buy any variant you prefer without any price penalties.

Out of the four devices Apple announced earlier this week, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are available to pre-order today for $799 ($829 unlocked) and $999, respectively. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available to pre-order on November 6 starting at $699 ($729 unlocked) and $1099, respectively.
