The OnePlus 6 and 6T will get Android 10 next month

OnePlus announced its newest flagship handset today, including both the OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. The company also provided an update on its OxygenOS updates for older devices, promising to provide updates for devices going back to the two and a half year old OnePlus 5.

In a forum post, the firm actually published the timeline for these updates. OxygenOS 10, which includes Android 10, is already available for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. If you've got a OnePlus 6 or 6T, which were last year's models, those on the open beta will get it later this month, while everyone else will get it in November.

If you've got a OnePlus 5 or 5T, there's no open beta for you to test it out. It's just going to land for the general public sometime in the second quarter of 2020.

Unfortunately, there's no specific timeline for those that purchased their device from a carrier, such as T-Mobile, Sprint, or EE. That includes T-Mobile's OnePlus 6T or OnePlus 7 Pro, or the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G from Sprint or EE. The company says it will work closely with its partners on that.
