THQ earlier today confirmed that the fairly popular "urban crime adventure" Saints Row which debuted on the Xbox 360 last year, will be released for Sony's Playstation 3 this spring. No specific release date was given, so my guess would be sometime in April or May. Saints Row was originally released for the 360 last Summer, and had a pretty good run along with pretty decent sales:
The Volition developed game was released on Xbox 360 last Summer selling over 600,000 copies in North America and billing $36 million (NPD). Average review rating (Gamerankings) was 82%. Saints Row will be online playable via PlayStation Network.
Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing said, "Saints Row has established itself as one of the most successful original properties in next generation gaming. Bringing the open-world genre to the PS3 for the first time will help grow the Saints Row fan base and expand the open-world online community."
