TotalGaming.net is a new gaming network from Stardock that enables users to purchase and download retail games. Games can be purchased both individually as well as all together as part of a single TotalGaming.net purchase.
While other gaming networks have recently been launched, most of them work on the concept of "renting" titles to users for a monthly fee. By contrast, on TotalGaming.net, the games users purchase are theirs forever. TotalGaming.net also allows users to redownload their games free of charge automatically if the user loses the game (reformats their drive, changes computers, etc.).
For the launch, TotalGaming.net includes titles from Stardock, Ubi Soft, Take 2, and Strategy First. Users who subscribe to the TotalGaming.net subscription get all the existing games on it plus everything that is added for an entire year. Stardock will be adding a new retail game to it each month for the rest of the year.
