Touting multiplayer and dragons, Scalebound is headed to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017

Scalebound, a game developed by Platinum Games and published by Microsoft Studios was shown off at last year's E3. Faced by a delay, the highly-anticipated title featuring multiplayer, dragons and more hasn't been released as of yet, however, it was once again showcased in a five minute video at this year's E3.

In Scalebound, players will assume the role of Drew, who is accompanied by his dragon Thuban, as they take on a perilous journey through the land of Draconis. While Thuban will mainly be controlled by artificial intelligence, players will be able to command him to perform specific actions.

The game follows a third-person perspective and focuses on multiplayer as gamers try to take down monsters with their friends and dragons.

Scalebound is set for a release on Windows 10 and Xbox One next year. Additionally, it is also a part of Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere strategy, which means that gamers will be able to own the game on both platforms, provided that they purchase it on either. Similarly, progress will be shared between the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of the game as well.
