Ubisoft delays Skull & Bones again, will announce three new AAA games soon

Back during E3 2017, Ubisoft announced Skull & Bones, a brand new naval warfare title being developed by its Singapore studio. However, as the original 2018 release window sailed passed, Ubisoft announced during E3 2018 that the game would land in 2019.

Today in its 2019 fiscal year earnings report, the company revealed that Skull & Bones has been delayed yet again, pushing the title to the next fiscal year. This means that the earliest we might see it launch is in April 2020.

In a separate update, the development team also confirmed the delay, and added that Skull & Bones won't be present on stage at E3 this year. This absence could mean the delay is a rather long one. The studio didn't go into any specifics regarding the cause behind the delay.

Elsewhere in the earnings report, Ubisoft revealed that it has four triple-A games slated for launch in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year, one of them being the recently announced Ghost Recon Breakpoint. We should probably see the remaining three games being announced at Ubisoft's E3 2019 presentation that kicks off on June 10.
