Ubisoft is offering another free Rainbow Six Siege operator to all players

For the past couple of years, Ubisoft has offered a free operator to all Rainbow Six Siege players as part of its holiday festivities, and this year is no different. The freebie's redemption method is a little changed up this time though.

Instead of gaining the reward for just logging in, Ubisoft wants players to try out its new limited-time Legacy Arcade mode to get the freebie. However, in our testing, the free Holiday 2020 Pack was simply waiting in the Packs menu when launching the game and didn't require playing the new mode.

The free operator will be a random one from the player's still to be unlocked section, and there's no restriction as to which year of updates they are from. If the player already owns all operators, they will instead receive this exclusive Ash Elf uniform and headgear combo instead:

The new Legacy Arcade mode is focused on taking players back to the game's roots, making available only the first 20 operators from the initial year alongside their legacy loadouts, including original scopes. The classic Plane, House, and Hereford Base are in rotation too, offering the standard 5v5 defuse mode.

The event will last until January 5, 2021, so anyone who's looking to grab a free operator (or the Ash skin) this season will need to jump in before that.
