Unboxing LG's super-light Windows 10 laptop, the gram

LG's new gram laptop is a stunning device. After only a few minutes with it, I was impressed. Weighing in at just 2.4 pounds, it includes an eighth-generation Intel Core i7 U-series processor. That's a 15W quad-core processor in this tiny little machine.

On top of that, it doesn't seem to make any sacrifices for a PC that's so light. Rather than cutting out the USB Type-A ports like most companies do, the LG gram has three of them. The keyboard isn't shallow and the trackpad is clickable as well, two things that are also common sacrifices in thin and light PCs.

The 15.6-inch 1080p display is a touchscreen, and as you can see from the image above, the bezels are quite narrow. Indeed, the LG gram is visually pleasant, and it's pleasant to use.

With the lack of sacrifices in this PC, I have to believe that LG compromised on battery life, which is probably why there's no 4K option. Of course, I'm not entirely convinced that the LG gram doesn't simply run on magic. Check out our unboxing below:
