Vodafone has announced that it will give small businesses six months of free unlimited broadband to help them weather the financial impact of COVID-19. The firm also stated that eligible businesses will get six months of free Microsoft 365 Business Standard which will help them further.

To be eligible for the free services, you must be operating a small business that has no more than 49 employees.

Commenting on the new offer, Vodafone UK’s Chief Executive Officer, said:

“Our role in these challenging times is to keep the UK connected and help businesses return to work. Small businesses have been hit particularly hard by this crisis.

By reducing their costs and providing them with our brilliant technology and expertise, we hope to help them get back on their feet and return to growth. A little financial help now, will go a long way in the future.”

According to the company, there are more than five million small businesses that could potentially utilise the offer. With trade down, businesses will have a limited income so not having to worry about paying for their broadband connection should be a bit of help.

The six-month deal is part of Vodafone’s 24-month unlimited data contract and is available for existing and new customers. Those who sign up will get the first six months for free before paying £19.17 (excluding VAT) per month for the rest of the contract term. You can find out more about the contract by heading to Vodafone’s Business section.
