So, just how many of you will actually be updating your PC to Windows 8 this weekend? Well, even if you do decide to take the big "Modern" plunge, we bet you will also want to go to the desktop and play some good old fashioned (non-touch screen) PC games.
Steam has not one but two games this weekend that can be downloaded and played for free. One is the unusual but fun tower defense game Rock of Ages, which is free until 4 pm Eastern Standard Time on Sunday. The other free game is Valve's zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2, which will have its free period expire at 1 pm ET on Monday. Both games are also on sale now for 75 percent off.
Steam also has another zombie shooter, Killing Floor, on sale this weekend for 75 percent off. The game is also in the middle of its Hillbilly Horror Event, which adds new temporary maps, achievements and more content to the game from now until November 6th.
GameStop also has a number of PC games available with some deep price cuts this weekend, including sales on Alan Wake, Mass Effect 3, The Darkness II and many more.
