Weekend downloadable PC games sales for Jan. 18-20

The weekend has arrived. Hooray! We are always glad for the weekend to show up (and in the US, some people have a three day weekend due to Martin Luther King Day being observed on Monday). So its now time to check up on what games we can buy on the cheap for the next few days.

Steam offers up a free weekend of play for the full version of Magicka, the satirical action-RPG from developer Arrowhead Game Studios and publisher Paradox. The free play continues until 4 pm ET on Sunday. The game can also be bought for 75 percent off and most of its DLC packs have got 75 percent price cuts, too.

Ubisoft's strategy-sim game Anno 2070 also has a nice price cut on Steam this weekend, with the main game and some DLC packs getting a 60 percent price reduction, along with 60 percent price cuts for many of its DLC packs.

GoG.com has several games on sale this weekend for 60 percent off, including two games in the Guilty Gear fighting game series. GameStop has quite a few games on sale this weekend, including Call of Duty: Black Ops II for $10 off its normal price.
