Weekend PC Game Deals: Hammer out some wars and grab a hit-filled bundle

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

Quite an impressive 2K bundle from Humble headlines this weekend's offerings, bringing together 13 items that include both individual games and popular collections from the publisher, all to help a COVID-19 response charity.

Starting off with the $1 or more tier gets you copies of The Darkness 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Sid Meier's Pirates, and Carnival Games VR. Things get even more interesting in the pay over the average tier, which currently sits at around $13.50, giving you BioShock: The Collection (BioShock 1, 2 remastered, Infinite and expansions), NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, Civilization III: Complete, and The Golf Club 2019.

The final tier will set you back $20 to purchase, and comes with all of the previous games as well as Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (Borderlands 2, Pre-sequel, and all DLC), XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete, NBA 2K20, and WWE 2K20.

Alongside the impressive bundle, Humble is currently hosting a giveaway for Manual Samuel, a humorous side-scrolling adventure where you must control all bodily functions, even breathing, of a recently deceased individual who has returned from hell. This giveaway is available only until supplies last however, so be sure to grab it early if you're itching for a copy.

This week Epic put two games to claim for free on its store, sticking to the original announcement for a change. Just Cause 4 and Wheels of Aurelia are the newest arrivals to the giveaway stage.

Released in 2018, Just Cause 4 is the most recent title to release from the sandbox destruction series by Avalanche Studios. This entry touts a weather system that spawns tornados, blizzards, thunderstorms, and more to go along with the crazy escapades of Rico Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Wheels of Aurelia is an indie story-focused driving game set in the 70s, where you'll be taking a road trip on the Italian west coast.

The two titles are here to claim until April 23, and up next on the giveaway schedule is the cooperative, turn-based rogue-like experience For The King.

Free Events

And now, it is time to go into the batch of free events running right now, and there are even more games than in previous weeks to go through. Strategy fans can now get a taste of Creative Assembly's Total War: Warhammer II this weekend on Steam with the complete base game going free-to-play for the duration.

Joining it in the free event pile is Borderlands GOTY Enhanced edition, offering the complete cooperative experience that's been upgraded for modern hardware to try out until next Friday. The music-based bullet hell Beat Hazard and its sequel are free-to-play during the weekend too, which are joined by the multiplayer martial arts game Absolver, simulation racer NASCAR Heat 4, the sandbox robot builder TerraTech, and the Viking-era set real-time strategy game Northgard.

Big Deals

Spring sales seem to be coming to an end soon, but there's still plenty of discounts going around before the finale hits home. See our highlights from what's available on the big deals list below:

DRM-free Goodness

As is usually the case, there are plenty of DRM-free games having sales this weekend. If you're into JPRGs and visual novels, there's a weekend sale happening just with those on GOG. See our highlights list below:

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals may vary depending on the region you're in.

And that is it for our pick of this weekend's PC game deals folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint to not add even more games to your growing backlogs. Of course, there is an enormous amount of more deals ready and waiting all over the internet if you comb through it hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend indoors.
