Weekend PC Game Deals: Superhero specials come flying in

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

Epic Games is once again back offering a couple of games to claim for free. The newest duo is Enter the Gungeon and God's Trigger. Also, although it's not part of the main promotion, the third episode of comedy game 3 out of 10 is also available now for free.

Enter the Gungeon has been a part of an earlier Epic Games freebie promotion, so you might already own it. The game is a bullet-hell roguelike that offers over 300 guns with various abilities. God’s Trigger is another roguelike shooter, and this one comes in with a top-down perspective for blowing enemies away.

These two freebies are available to claim on the Epic Games Store until August 27. Next time Epic will be bringing in Shadowrun Collection and the 2016 Hitman reboot as the newest giveaways.

Free events

Square Enix's new Avengers game is only a couple of weeks away from release, but if you want to try it out before then, a meaty open beta has now kicked off. The beta offers multiple campaign Hero missions as well as a wealth of four-player cooperative experiences. The heroes Captain America and Thor are playable in the intro sequence, with Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Ms. Marvel coming in for the rest of the beta.

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals may vary depending on the region you're in.

And that is it for our pick of this weekend's PC game deals folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint to not add even more games to your growing backlogs this season. Of course, there is an enormous amount of more deals ready and waiting all over the internet if you comb through it hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a wonderful weekend.
