Nintendo denied reports this week in British tabloid papers that their Wii console will be released "at the end of November, priced around £170". "It's pure speculation on the part of the newspaper - we have made no announcements regarding Wii price or software", said a Nintendo spokesperson speaking to Eurogamer.
The Daily Star based their assumptions on a press conference held in London, where press and lifestyle reporters were invited to check out the console in a similar way to how it was shown at E3. Nintendo is expected to announce launch details this September.
