Windows 8 ready devices by Novatel to be shown at CES 2012

Windows 8 continues to be used by technology companies as a way to demo their new and upcoming products. Today we received an email from one of them, Novatel Wireless: they are the company that makes the vast majority of USB 3G and 4G wireless modems for laptops, along with WiFi 3G and 4G hotspots, that are sold by a variety of wireless carriers including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and Virgin Mobile.

Novatel Wireless says they will be announcing a number of new products at CES 2012 next week, specifically at Showstoppers. It's a third party-run event that's held in Las Vegas but away from the main CES 2012 event on Tuesday night. The email from the company also said,  "In addition, Novatel Wireless has been tightly engaged in Windows 8 development for many months, and is excited to demonstrate Windows 8 connectivity during ShowStoppers."

It will be interesting to see what kinds of features Novatel Wireless will offer for Windows 8 users, many of whom will almost certainly want to have some kind of wireless 3G and/or 4G support. Neowin will be at the Showstoppers event on Tuesday night so we should be able to see what Novatel has to offer for Windows 8 users.
