Windows Server 2012 RTM leaks to web [Update]

Well, maybe not for everyone

Notorious Russian leaker WZOR announced just a few hours ago that Windows Server 2012 RTM has too leaked and would be released online, it can now be found at one of the usual more popular torrent websites, or by other means. This follows the leak of Windows 8 Enterprise "N" edition that leaked late on Thursday, just a day after the RTM builds were handed over to OEMs.

The build weighs in at 3.23 GB and is the x64 version which includes Standard and Datacenter editions. According to WZOR this is also an "official" Microsoft image.

For those willing to wait for official channels to release Windows Server, as we reported on Thursday, you can sign up to check out the online launch event on September 4th at the Windows Server web site. Microsoft has already announced the different versions of Windows Server 2012, along with their prices. It has also confirmed that it will not make a new version of its Windows Home Server product.

For now I'll leave you with the setup screenshot, which still appears to have the old Windows Vista style window border!
