Thanks to Bink of Windowsxp.nu for this.. Yep we can now confirm that build number 1078 is out and making the rounds through the usual dubious channels. There are no changes in this build and there is no indication that beta testers will get this build.
SP1 for Windows XP is expected to ship some time next month and will bring an array of changes outlined here in an earlier report on Neowin
Bink has sent me a super-duper screenshot which includes all build nrs of the releases (or should I say leaks) that have taken place in the last 24 hours.
