A visual tour of the Xbox Experience at E3 2018

While walking through the various halls at E3, it was apparent that one of the big three was missing from the Los Angeles Convention Center. In the past, Microsoft typically shared space in the West Hall alongside Sony and Nintendo. However this year, it decided to hold all of its events across the street in the Microsoft Theater.

Although the venue space is quite different when compared to the sprawling openness of the convention center show floor, things seemed more intimate and uncluttered when visiting the Xbox Experience at E3 2018. The festivities were held outside the main concert area and split between two levels. On the top level of the event, there are various demo kiosks with a majority of the space dedicated to Forza Horizon 4.

Along with the kiosks, Microsoft also had a retail pop up shop inside, giving anxious fans a chance to nab Xbox clothing and other items from other notable franchise. If you weren't able to make it out, some of the items you can find online through the recently launched Xbox Merchandise Store.

As you can imagine, Xbox Game Pass was also being touted heavily, with guests being given trial cards for the service. Xbox Game Pass recently celebrated its first anniversary and Microsoft was adamant to show its commitment to the service by sharing new details about some of the upcoming titles that will be coming to the service.

By heading to the lower area of the event, things get a bit more interesting. Microsoft had an Xbox Game Pass vending machine, giving those attending a chance to take home a hard copy of the titles available on the service.

There was also an area dedicated to the recently announced Xbox Adaptive Controller, along with a variety of different kinds of inputs that can be used with the controller. Just right next to the Adaptive Controller display, kiosks were set up for Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and there was an area where content was being created for the Xbox streaming channels. EA's Battlefield V was also playable at the event and there was a nice area fleshed out to celebrate Sea of Thieves.
