Xbox One launches in NZ, rest of the world to follow soon

It’s been years in the making and months since us mortals first laid eyes on it, but Microsoft’s Xbox One console is finally here. Kiwis are celebrating, with the first official launch happening right now in New Zealand where it’s already the 22nd of November.

Folks have been lining-up to get to try a new console and see Microsoft’s demos for the last 7 hours and for most people this is the first chance to see an Xbox One up in real life.

The event is a big showcase for Microsoft’s new platform with users getting to try the Xbox One for themselves. At this New Zealand launch there are more than 40 Xbox Ones that the public can play on, with regular launch titles such as Forza making an appearance and possibly, a good first impression for potential customers.

Similar events are planned all around the world for the next 24 hours and we’ll be bringing you highlights and news all throughout so be sure to stick around.
