Xiaomi teases a 5G phone under the Mi 10 family for under €300, coming this month

Xiaomi has teased a new 5G smartphone that will add to its Mi 10 series. The Chinese phone maker is planning to launch the new device some time in September for a base price of under €300.

The company posted a teaser on Twitter today in which it offered a glimpse at one important spec of the upcoming phone. Xiaomi has revealed that the new 5G device will be the first to feature Qualcomm's all-new Snapdragon 7-series 5G Mobile Platform.

It is worth noting that the only processors in the 700-series with 5G support right now are the Snapdragon 765 5G, announced last year, and 768 5G, unveiled in May. Furthermore, Xiaomi already launched smartphones with the Snapdragon 765G and 768G chipsets, namely the Redmi K30 5G and Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, respectively.

For now, there are a few speculations around the name of the upcoming handset, with some supposing that it could be the Mi 10T. The only thing that's certain at the moment is that this device will be one of the cheapest 5G phones when it debuts.
