Yahoo Inc. and Google Inc. on Monday said they have resolved their patent disputes, with Google licensing some of Yahoo's patents and issuing Google stock to Yahoo. The two sides also said Yahoo dismissed its patent suit against Google.
Although it is not known for sure, the dispute is believed to be over the un-happy break up between the two companies, post their partnership where Yahoo used Google search technology. Yahoo have since bought Overture, another search company. In an unrelated dispute, Overture are sueing Google with regard to their Adwords program.
