Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is free to claim today on the Epic Games Store

It’s the 13th day of the 12 Days of Free Games at the Epic Games Store, where they definitely know how to count. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is available today to claim for free.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair saw its release in October of 2019, just a few months ago. It's a sequel to Yooka-Laylee which released in 2017; the series is a spiritual successor to the Banjo Kazooie franchise that was developed by Rare for Nintendo 64 in the late 90s. While the first game was a 3D platformer, this one is a side-scrolling 2.5D platformer. Here's how the Epic Games Store describes it:

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a brand-new platform adventure from some of the key creative talent behind 'Donkey Kong Country'. With their arch-nemesis Capital B up to no good, the buddy duo needs to spring into action once again to save the day!

Epic Games Store is offering the title for players on Windows. Here are the minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2125 or AMD A8-6600K
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or Radeon HD 5770
  • Storage: 6 GB available space

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is available to claim at its store page. As the New Year’s Eve concludes this year, the ongoing holiday sale at the Epic Games Store is also coming to an end. Epic Coupon is available to claim here, and if you still have it lying around after the sale is over, it will be valid until May 1, 2020, at 2:59AM ET.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is available for free until tomorrow 11AM ET, which is when, from the looks of it, the Epic Games Store is going back to its weekly schedule with one of the Darksiders titles and Steep - that's our guess though.
