Adobe Reader 9.3 released

Abobe have updated their Abode Reader PDF viewer and Acrobat 9 to version 9.3.0.

The new release is a quarterly update which provides a fully encompassing update which includes functional improvements as requested by customers and security updates encountered during the previous quarterly period. 9.3 address a number of customer workflow issues, security vulnerabilities, and more stability.

The update can be downloaded using Adobe updates, on the help menu of Adobe products for Windows and Mac, or directly from the Reader Download Centre.

Fixes include:

  • Fixes a Snow Leopard out of memory issue which could cause Reader to crash.
  • Fixes an issue where closing PDF causing a Firefox crash when multiple profiles have been started.
  • Shows the busy cursor when loading forms
  • Fixed an Adobe Reader 9.2 issue where it did not trigger the speech synthesizer while clicking on any text fields of the customer PDF form

The update is cumulative and will over install any Reader 9 version with the updated components.
