Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet 3rd-gen unboxing and first impressions

Last year, I reviewed the second-generation Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet, and while I loved it as a tablet with an attachable keyboard, it definitely had its shortcomings. Luckily, in the 3rd-gen model, all of those pain points have been fixed.

First of all, the processor that's inside has received a huge upgrade. Rather than the seventh-gen 4.5W Y-series processor that we saw last year, we now have an eighth-gen 15W U-series processor. That means it's quad-core now, and it's on par with the latest ultrabooks.

Another notable change is the kickstand. Rather than flipping down, it flips back, so you can use the device at any angle. The display is larger this time around, from 12.5 inches to 13 inches, also supporting HDR at a 3,000x2,000 resolution.

All in all, it seems like Lenovo might have a winner on its hands with the third-gen ThinkPad X1 Tablet, but we'll just have to review it to find out. Check out our unboxing video below:
