Nexus 5X with Project Fi unboxing and first impressions

Google's own cellular network - Project Fi - is now available to the general public with no invitation necessary. With the public launch, Google offered the Nexus 5X for $150 off, making the retail price of the device $199 and $249 for the 16 and 32 GB models, respectively.

While we've thoroughly reviewed LG's Nexus 5X, we haven't reviewed the Project Fi service. That's what we aim to do in the coming weeks.

With this Nexus 5X, we'll also be able to take a look at the new Android N Developer Preview, which looks exciting. Google's next iteration of Android offers split screen multitasking, redesigned Settings, redesigned notifications, and more.

It all starts here. Here's our unboxing of the LG Nexus 5X with a Project Fi SIM in the box. In the following video, I activate Project Fi, discuss the terms of the $150 off deal, and show my first impressions with both the device and the service.
