Last year, Huawei gained some well deserved attention by debuting the Nexus 6P as one of Google's Nexus devices. As we enter the new year, Huawei is continuing its momentum by offering the GX8. Although the handset debuted last week, Huawei has announced that those in the US, will now have more options when it comes to purchasing the device.
The GX8 offers the following specifications:
- 5.5-inch 1080p display
- 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage with expandability via microSD
- 13MP AF w/OIS - 5MP front-facing
- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
- 3000 mAh battery
While it might not offer the most robust specifications on the market, the handset is clearly a mid-tier offering that utilizes a familiar design with quality materials. With this in mind, the handset is priced at a fairly reasonable $349.99 USD and will be available in three colors: Horizon Gold, Space Grey and Mystic Champagne. The handset can now be purchased on Huawei's website, select Best Buy retail locations, Best Buy's website and Newegg.
