You know one thing has always killed me and made me twist my head off trying to figure out computer users. Most of you probably don't know all the features of the software you currently run and probably never have, and or will, but God forbid if something should not "LOOK GOOD" or "LOOK COOL" I mean what do you guys do leave your computer turned on 24/7 and have it rotating through "GOOD LOOKING" software for when you have guests over. Get over it people. Look at the software for what it can do and actually, God help me for saying this, but learn the features of the software you have and or buy.

Looks good to me. I guess I am into the whole office suite thing and so use OpenOffice.org. I should give this a try though. 99% of the time I just use a word processor. It's got a plugin for MSOOXML, in case someone sends me one.

Hmmm... why am I an addict of the whole office suite? :P

Actually, it does save to DOCX... and ODT of course and its own formats. And it was snappy starting up. I think I may give this a try!

Is still... faaaar faaaar away from MS Office 2007, not counting the new version of Office who will come out.

The screens looks like from stone age... free free, but no thanks.

Correction Please: "AbiWord is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft"....NO & NEVER, it's similar to Windows WordPad

I find AbiWord to be a very good open source alternative word processor.
