How does this compare to winamp's built-in audio transcoder?

I'd really like to know because that's all I really use winamp for anyway (since winamp turned into crapware, aka, v2.79)

I don't think Winamp allows you to transcode to OGG or MP3 just for free. There are such plugins for doing those, like the LAME one. (can't really remmember since it's been months that I use a transcoder.)

For such things, I've heard that Mediacoder is the best one. OSS/GPL and does anything any commercial media transcoder would. (Even encodes to Theora)
