Apple has pulled iOS 9.3.2 for the 9.7" iPad Pro

After reports of the latest update to iOS bricked some 9.7" iPad Pro devices, Apple has now pulled the update. The update will remain unavailable until Apple has a fix ready for users.

Apple doesn't seem to be having the best luck with updates as of late. Earlier this year, users that got their Apple devices fixed by third parties started seeing Error 53 and now, 9.7" iPad Pros are getting bricked by iOS 9.3.2.

If that doesn't seem like bad luck to you, consider that Apple had this update in beta for almost a month in a half, releasing four iterations of it. The fact that no one caught the bug by the time it was released to all is a bit surprising, if nothing else.

Nevertheless, the firm has now stopped offering the update to users of its latest tablet, promising that it's working on a fix. Apple issued the following statement to iMore:

We're working on a fix for an issue impacting a small number of iPad units that are receiving an error when trying to update the software. We'll issue an update as quickly as possible.

If you were one that was affected by this, you should now be able to restore your device through iTunes, as a factory restore will no longer attempt to reinstall iOS 9.3.2. If you are unable to get your iPad up and running again through this method, it is recommended that you contact Apple Support.
