Apple opens up registration for "Apple Watch Basics" workshops

After strong demand last week for the new Apple Watch, the Cupertino-based company is set to hold special workshops around the world regarding its wearable.

Dubbed as "Apple Watch Basics," the event aims to teach new owners of the Apple Watch all about using the device and its many features. Workshops are scheduled to start next week, Friday, April 24, when many of the early buyers will be receiving the new watch. This is also the supposed date when the Apple Watch will be sold in-store, but was instead pushed to June.

Sessions will last 45-75 minutes, and will be held several days throughout the week. The workshop will also require attendees to bring their Apple Watch, along with an iPhone. According to Apple's website:

Bring your Apple Watch — along with your iPhone — and get familiar with your most personal device yet. We’ll show you how to get started using Glances, gestures, watch faces and more.

According to the report, due to limited supply, only a small number of customers will receive their new watch by April 24. However, those who have pre-ordered and will not receive the device by the said date can still attend to be able to learn more about the new watch.

Appointment openings for the "Apple Watch Basics" workshops can now be viewed on the Stores section of the Apple Store app, as well as on a few of its retail websites. Aside from the said event, Apple is also offering another class named "Stay in Touch with Apple Watch." Select stores in the U.S. and other countries are currently offering signup sheets for both events.
