Apple sale in Australia hints at Black Friday deals

With Black Friday looming on the horizon of the end of Thanksgiving, a conveniently timed one day sale by Apple in Australia appears to hint that the company may do a Black Friday promotion in America this weekend.

The Verge reports that the sale has seen a drop of $105 from the MacBook line, including the entire lineup. iPads have dropped $41 and the iPod touch is $31 cheaper. Sure, it's not a large discount, but Apple isn't known for their sales promotions either.

There are other various sales in the store, with many accessories seeing a drop of up to $11. If you're looking to get new Apple gear, this Black Friday may be your opportunity to get it for lower than the full price.

If my math is correct, that's roughly a 10% off sale.

Now, if I could only use it along with my corporate partner discount of 17%, then we'd be talking!

"a conveniently timed one day sale by Apple in Australia appears to hint that the company may do a Black Friday promotion in America this weekend"

It was already hinted at on the 19th with their Black Friday ad. If Apple does a Black Friday promotion that goes live at midnight in Australia, it's more than a hint that the US will also receive the promotion. What it actually hinted at, was the level of promotions that Apple would be doing.

We have been told numerous times by some here that Microsoft black Friday deals is an indication that they are desperate to sell. But this is Apple, so I guess those recently introduced iPads and iPods are selling wonderfully because they will have them on sale.

Except for the fact Apple have done these black friday deals the last few years, even before unproven claims from people like you that their products aren't selling very well!

You know, it would be wonderful if you can provided specific examples of people on here making said claims, but you never do, so it just seems like irrelevant rambling. I mean, what's the point in bringing any of it up?

I do find it funny that you always whine about Apple fans being unfair to Microsoft, but I have yet to see you whine about Microsoft fans being unfair to Apple.

Apple fans would finally have money for some bread and butter.

Apple fan here! Just closed on a house a couple months ago. Finished paying off my wife's grad school loans. We are enjoying life in Southern California and enjoying our "I" gadgets. ;-)

I own 2 houses and I'm also a fan of Apple products, I don't know where this "Apple fans are poor because they spend all their money on gadgets" thing came from.

Thanks for hating. The world is not a better place for it...

It's something people with envy do. Then they deny that they envy you in some way. It's a fun game sometimes.
