Bad Piggies is coming soon to Windows Phone and Windows 8

Rovio launched today the sequel to their ever popular Angry Birds franchise, called Bad Piggies. The new game lets you play on the piggies' side, just to even things out in the karmic universe, where you have to help them build a flying machine.

The game brings together old characters and new mechanics to give you a great reason to abandon any hope of productivity.

Bad Piggies launched today on iOS, Android and Mac OS X, being available in their respective app stores, but there's also good news for us Windows fans. The new game will be coming soon to Windows 8 and Windows Phone according to the official site. How soon? Well, we don't really know but most likely the game will be one of the launching titles for both platforms from Microsoft.

If you're excited about the new title from Rovio be sure to drop a comment and let us know.

I can't understand how such a retarded game (i mean Angry Birds) became so popular and a "must-have" for a smartphone OS. I'm a heavy gamer, I have it installed on my WP, and it's like the most boring thing ever.

Then it's not for you. Uninstall and move on.
I personally played it a few times, not really for me either but i understand why other people do like it.

Good for Microsoft. They can't afford to be behind in releases like this anymore. Even if it means paying the developer to port it (not that that's necessarily what happened here.)

But I want them to give me Plants vs Zombies for my Surface!!!

Techically, PvZ will be on Surface. At least Surface Pro since it's on PC already. With EA and their Origin system, we may not see it on Xbox Live though.

Well, it's on Xbox Live Arcade and Windows Phone 7, so it's reasonable to assume it will be ported to Windows 8... but maybe not

It would be, except they have Origin on PC, so they'll try to force it anytime it's on that platform.

Well Nokia said that all other Angry Birds franchises would be coming to Lumia phones though we still haven't seen any Space on there. Let's hope Bad Piggies doesn't take the same route.
