"Bing It On" search challenge returns with prizes

Microsoft announced Monday on its Search Blog that its "Bing It On" search challenge has returned, this time with the chance to win Microsoft prizes or a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize trip to anywhere in the United States.

The grand prize includes airfare, hotel and spending money for two people to anywhere in the U.S., while four first prize winners will win a "Microsoft box of awesome," which includes a Windows 8 PC or tablet, Xbox 360 with Kinect, Windows Phone 8 and more. All you have to do to enter is perform five searches on the Bing It On search challenge website, choosing which results you like better for each search. After making five searches and comparisons, your results will be shown and the sweepstakes entry form will be available.

The Bing It On challenge, as you'll recall, was originally launched in September 2012 to increase awareness of Microsoft's search engine. Microsoft claims that people chose Bing over Google nearly 2:1 in blind comparison tests, and the challenge is clearly designed to convince more people that Bing is a worthy alternative to the ubiquitous Google.

The full sweepstakes rules are available at this page.
