Call of Duty: Black Ops II reveal trailer showcased

Treyarch, is one of the two development groups that work on the Call of Duty franchise and whilst some of its games such as Call of Duty: World at War may ring a bell, we do not believe we could have predicted the amount of praise that Black Ops endured. It was one of the more refreshing entries in the franchise that we’d seen in a long time, but it looks like it won't be the last.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II has just been revealed and is a sequel to the 2010 released original. The game is set in the near-future, so we're hoping to see some new original gameplay mechanics in some places. The reveal does a good job at giving off the impression that the franchise is in for more changes in an attempt to re-innovate the first-person shooter genre. The trailer also showcases some of the things we’ll see when it launches in November and also reveals how much more cinematic the game will be. From what we can see the narrative for the game is sounding a lot sharper so hopefully, the storyline is just as pleasantly refreshing.

The trailer can be seen below.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released on the 13th of November 2012 and pre-orders have now begun taking place.

Doubtful, just wait until 11/2013 then and you'll see..lol..

At least they're finally doing something different, even if the graphical aspect is still crap looking. This one actually looks slightly interesting.

I've not bought a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2 because of that. However, the concept for this seems pretty neat. I just hope Activison doesn't mess things up, it always ruins my experience with Call of Duty.

If they don't update the netcode in their now quite ancient engine to deal with the hacker issue, I won't be buying another CoD game (from either company).

The one thing we all know that WON'T change is the game engine, so I'm already over that. What I expect from this game is a better story, of course. Black Ops 1 really was the only game after COD2 that I actually enjoyed, so I'm hoping that, while Treyarch pays better attention to developing the game without too many bugs (which they're very well known for) they will get the story right!

Still, I will never forgive them for not releasing COD3 on the PC seeing as how COD and MOH are my two favorite franchises ever lol
