I use CDBurnerXP for general use burning, and ImgBurn for burning images (for some reason, CDBurnerXP never has been reliable on my drive for burning images, but it does data just fine).

cdburner is god awful, tried it and a stupid glitch would have me click 3 or more times to get it to burn something then it would take 10 hrs (exaggerating) for it to finish, go with imgburn or nero.
imgburn FTW!!!!11!!!

But it is pretty much full featured as it does burn audio cd's and dvd video to disk. Also data not just ISO's.

the thing is.... ImgBurn CAN burn regular data to you just add the files you want to burn when it's in MODE > BUILD and burn it basically ;)

but i do agree it is primarily for Burning Images... but my point is it can do regular DATA to and it does it well, so that's why i pretty much dont use anything else.

p.s. plus not to mention alot of people trust the software because it's made by same guy who used to make 'DVD Decrypter' and that software was great (the best out there for decrypting dvd's at the time and it was FREE) til it was shutdown and then he switched over to ImgBurn.

for AUDIO... i just use Burrrn. loads up super fast and gets straight to the point.

I think CDBurnerXP is a better option for most tasks and can also burn images.

CDBurnerXP's interface might be better setup for burning general data disc etc (which for the average joe it would be)... but the thing is i TRUST ImgBurn to work time after time (so do a lot of other people to)... it's a quality coded program and it loads up quick to as the bloat is pretty much non-existent. (im not saying CDBurnerXP is bloated)

the only obvious thing i think that would make CDBurnerXP better than ImgBurn is that you can create folders within the program and put files there etc... where as you can't do that in ImgBurn as you can only add files/folders to it, no renaming or anything.... this will never be changed either from what i heard from the author of the program but for me it's not really a issue since i typically burn mostly .mkv and .avi stuff to DVD recordables.

but i guess at the end of the day... (like was said before) ImgBurn is primarily for burning IMAGES (but it's good for burning regular data disc to if your just adding files and burning pretty much). where as CDBurnerXP is made for burning basic data stuff etc.

i dont know, i guess everyone has there preferences but if i had to choose 1 burning program out there (free or not) it would definitely be ImgBurn.
