Cortana has connected with LinkedIn on Windows 10

Microsoft has announced Cortana now provides integration with the world's largest professional network, LinkedIn. The feature begins rolling out to the masses today, and offers information about the people you are meeting embedded in the virtual assistants interface.

To enable the latest capability on your Windows 10 device, head over to 'Connected Accounts' in Cortana's Notebook. The integrated feature is included in every meeting reminder set up with the Mail & Calendar, so you can expect it to start functioning from the get go.

For those users that already take advantage of the Windows 10 Mail & Calendar services, the virtual assistant will go one step ahead and provide plenty of information about the people you are meeting. This includes a photograph, job role and company, among a direct link to their online profile.

Microsoft is starting to introduce external third-party services to Cortana's functionality. The latest addition is likely an attempt to penetrate the business market - where comparable services were previously only offered through Outlook.
